10th Class student Gangraped and brutally beaten
Kolkata: A student of class 10 has been allegedly gangraped and brutally beaten up by the assailants in Diamond Harbour in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The victim was gangraped by men known to her. The heinous crime took place inside a hotel.
The victim tried to escape her rapists and was found by passers-by on the road in a severely injured and unconscious state. The girl, who has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata, was also thrashed by the accused.
Police have registered a case and a manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused. Police sources say that girl was raped by people who lived near her house and were known to her.
The hotel manager is being interrogated and the premises have been sealed. Police are also investigating how the accused booked two rooms in the hotel without any documents.
