A fire that broke out at Pratapnagar in Kakinada town has Burnt 30 huts and remained ash. As per sources the fire has been sparked by a stove that was left burning even after the residents of a hut had left. The fire spread in no time due to the dry leaves, and wood which are used to build huts.

However There were no fatalities or injuries but the estimated lose was of Rs 25 lakh. Three fire engines reached the area within minutes but failed to reach the spot due to the poor road connectivity for this huts which are located.
