North India continues to shiver, death toll rises to 129

New Delhi: It has been a particularly harsh winter for North India this time. Nearly 22 people have died in the past 24 hours increasing the overall death toll to 129.

Delhi is still shivering, but a little better than the season's coldest. The minimum temperature is back to 4 degrees Celsius from Friday's 2.7 degrees Celsius. Schools will remain shut till January 12.

Srinagar too witnessed the lowest temperatures this season, at minus 4.3 degrees Celsius. In Rajasthan, Churu district was the coldest at 1.6 degrees. Meanwhile, 14 trains have been cancelled and 51 are running late due to fog.
